
A veteran documentary filmmaker known for tackling challenging subjects and filmic approaches, her work has garnered the George Foster Peabody Award, the Organization of American Historians’ Eric Barnouw Award, International Documentary Association’s Outstanding Achievement Award, and National Emmy Award Nomination for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Research. Also an educator, Kleiman taught at Stanford University’s Graduate Program in Documentary Film & Video Production for 9 years.

Badge is an independent producer and editor of social issue documentary films. She began her career in the San Francisco Bay Area where she was a frequent collaborator of acclaimed Black gay filmmaker Marlon Riggs. After moving to France in 1994 she has worked with European broadcasters Arte, France 5, ZDF and WDR on projects set in Africa, the U.S. and Europe. This is her 3rd collaboration with Vivian.

Katherin is a documentary filmmaker who spends her time between New York and Copenhagen. Her films have screened internationally at DOC NYC, the NY Shorts Film Festival, Chicago South Asian Film Festival, & Union Docs, among others.

Suzanne is a motion graphics artist who has been creating delightful images that have entertained adults and kids alike for years, among them 10 years at PIXAR. Her prior work with Kleiman began with the much acclaimed No Straight Lines: The Rise of Queer Comics.

Talia is a documentary filmmaker whose work has explored the barriers to licensure for foreign-trained doctors, the murky world of women’s health, and the anguish and joy of later-in-life divorce. She now holds the roles of assistant editor, associate producer, and archival producer for various films being made around the Bay Area.

Kadri is an Estonian cinematographer/director. With a rigorous background in documentary film, she loves to work in the intersection of documentary and fiction, often fusing the two sensibilities in her approach to visual storytelling. She recently lensed a documentary about the legendary tennis father and coach of Venus and Serena Williams which premiered at 2022 Tribeca Festival.
